uScenes: a multimodal RGB and 3D sonar dataset for underwater robot perception
Co-author. Accepted as a poster presentation at IEEE OCEANS 2026, Monterey, California, 21–24 September 2026. The dataset pairs camera and 3D sonar returns so that perception models have something to learn from in water where cameras alone fail.

Barriers to technology adoption in small island developing states
An independent literature review I am writing with two USF faculty advisors. The motivating case is Barbados; the scope is SIDS generally, because the evidence base for any one island is thin. The narrowing question is what happens specifically with AI.

Two years on underwater autonomy: integrating a 3D sonar into a BlueROV2 platform, working in ROS2 and BlueOS on Linux, and collecting the field data the dataset above is built from.
